Frequently Asked Questions

QCan our company conduct support in-house, or must we outsource to a Registered Support Organization?
Enterprises that have successfully hosted mid-to-long term foreign workers within the past 2 years may conduct support in-house. Otherwise, outsourcing support to a Registered Support Organization is legally required. We advise companies on selecting organizations or establishing in-house support capability.
QAre Technical Intern Trainees exempt from SSW skill and Japanese exams?
Yes. Trainees who have satisfactorily completed Technical Intern Training (ii) and whose work field aligns with the SSW job category are completely exempt from both skill and Japanese language exams.
QMust compensation be strictly equal to Japanese employees?
Yes. Japanese law strictly mandates that foreign workers receive remuneration equal to or greater than Japanese workers performing equivalent duties. Objective salary scales and wage ledger comparisons must be submitted to Immigration.
